Trancoso is famous throughout Brazil for having some of the most beautiful and deserted beaches. It is situated 25 km (15.5 miles) from Porto Seguro and only 15 km (9 miles) from Arraial D´Ajuda. This area in the south of Bahia was originally inhabited by native Indians, and later Jesuits in the 16 th century, and even up until the early 1960's the locals traded through barter, most of them cultivating cassava, while also hunting and fishing. Trancoso is a paradise of white sand beaches stretching as far as the eye can see with calm, crystal blue waters and coconut palms, surrounded by thick green Atlantic vegetation. Due to its location, it is very secluded with simple infrastructure, adding to its charm and maintaining tranquility. This package includes comfortable lodging in a hotel, and nature tours with a private guide. |
