02:00pm Tour The Tamar Sea Turtle Preservation Project and the Garcia D'Ávila Castle: You will visit the Tamar Sea Turtle Preservation Station to learn about the successful Tamar Project and sea turtles that lay their eggs on the Brazilian coast. Next, there is a 3km ride to visit the ruins of the Garcia D'Ávila Castle, a unique example of medieval architecture in the Americas and one of the earliest large-scale Portuguese construction projects in Brazil.

Return to the Pousada.

At night you will be able to enjoy the pleasant fisherman village with all its restaurants, bars and stores.

Day 2

Breakfast

10:00am Tour Wheeler Expedition: You will be taken to the Sapiranga Rain Forest for the 20-kilometer ride on 325 cc 4-wheelers over dirt roads and trails. The route is through rainforest vegetation and pine plantations, and along rivers. During the ride, there will be a stop at the Sauípe River for a swim and to go down the rapids on inner tubes.

Return to the Pousada.

02:00pm Tour Catamaran Ride: A 15-minute transfer to the Sauípe River where you will board a comfortable catamaran with padded benches and back supports and a capacity for 24 pax. The 7-km journey to the mouth of the river passes through beautiful areas of coastal rainforest vegetation and imposing mangroves. A specialized guide will provide information about these ecosystems. Near the mouth of the river, there will be a stop for a swim. The vegetation on the riverbanks attracts a wide variety of birds, which gives participants a chance to do a little bird watching.

Return to the Pousada.

Day 3

Breakfast

Free morning.

03:00pm Tour Bird Watching: A 15-minute transfer in a 4-wheel drive vehicle to the Sauípe River, the main waterway in its river basin, bordered to the north by the Subaúma River basin and to the south by the Imbassaí River basin. The source of the Sauípe lies to the south of the city of Entre Rios, from where it runs 80 kilometers to the sea. You will board an aluminum boat with an outboard motor and a capacity for 6 passengers and a specialized guide. The ride takes about an hour and a half, covering about 14 kilometers roundtrip, with a quick stop at the mouth of the river. Most of the areas on the route are covered in ciliary vegetation, the plants along riverbanks that protect the rivers. The vegetation in this area is quite well preserved and there are many native fruit trees, which attract a wide variety of birds. Binoculars are provided.

15-minute return transfer to the Pousada.

Day 4

Breakfast

09:00am Sauipe Expedition: A 25-minute transfer in a 4-wheel drive vehicle and then a 20-minute hike through local wetland vegetation to the banks of the Sauípe River (during the hike there is a 50-meter stretch where the water level at high tide reaches a depth of about 50 centimeters). You will then board native wooden canoes where all can help row. Accompanied by a local guide to get to know the native flora and fauna, you will head down the river past the imposing mangroves on route to the mouth of the river. After approximately 30 minutes rowing the canoes arrive at a large sand bar, where you can enjoy a refreshing dip in the river or the sea.

Return to Pousada in 4x4 vehicle.

Free afternoon.

Day 5

Breakfast

08:30am Tour The Blue Lagoon: A 1-hour transfer along the Green Line with an additional 10 km over sand roads to the Blue Lagoon. Nestled amongst beautiful sand dunes, the lagoon's waters are incredibly transparent, perfect for snorkeling and a swim. Another good option is sand boarding down the white sand dunes.

Return to the Pousada.

02:00pm Tour Imbassai Expedition: Transfer in a 4-wheel drive vehicle or van to the Imbassaí River near the tiny village of Diogo. There, you will board "Canadian canoes," with a capacity for 3 people each. You will then row downstream for about 40 minutes to a deserted beach for a swim in the sea. From there you will continue rowing downstream for another 40 minutes approximately to meet the vehicles. This is an expedition in the true sense of the word to see firsthand this pristine stretch of the Imbassaí River with its beautiful white sand dunes and native vegetation. A surprise awaits you around every bend in the river.

Return to the Pousada in 4x4 vehicle or van.
