Accommodation: 2 nights in Salvador at the Hotel Catharina Paraguacu . This charming old Colonial home is located in the central Bohemian district of Rio Vermelho. It is walking distance from the beach and from many good bars and restaurants.

Accommodation: 4 nights at the Amazonat Jungle Lodge , located 158 kilometers (98 miles) east of Manaus. Amazonat offers a complete variety of nature viewing tours to see incredible wildlife and flora, as well as, fishing and survival trips, such as learning how to make your own blow gun.
